TWO RESTAURANTS AND ONE NEW BAR OPENING SOON IN DOWNTOWN ELGIN

In the Spring of 2021 Downtown Elgin will welcome two new restaurants and one new bar. BeaUnique Latin Kitchen will be located at 74 S. Grove Avenue. The Red Poppy Bistro will be re-opening in a newly expanded space at 109 E. Highland Avenue. Vern’s Tavern will move into 76 S. Grove Avenue.

“The opening of these three new businesses is a great way to start the year.” says Jennifer Fukala, Executive Director of the Downtown Neighborhood Association. “In 2020 we welcomed numerous new businesses, proving that even during a pandemic, entrepreneurs are continuing to move forward. We are excited to welcome all of these new establishments and look forward to more projects coming in 2021, including the new residential development at 40 DuPage.”

BeaUnique Latin Kitchen

BeaUnique Latin Kitchen will offer a unique mix of amazing good, great drinks, Latin Jazz and entertainment with a spicy Latin vibe.

Red Poppy Bistro

The Red Poppy Bistro atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, with Grandma’s home cooking, specializing in quiches, pot pies and pierogi.

Vern’s Tavern

The new Vern's Tavern is being designed with special touches to give it unique vibe that’s 1920s tavern meets neighborhood dive bar.
