  • What Day & Time is the Market

    The 2019 Downtown Elgin Farmers Market will run every Friday beginning June 7 through October 4th. The hours are from 3pm to 7pm.

  • Where Do I Park?

    Free public parking is available at numerous public parking garages and on surrounding streets. For street parking we suggest trying along Spring Street or Grove Avenue near Festival Park. Nearby parking garages and lots are located at Grove & Highland, at Chicago & Riverside, at Spring & Chicago, on Fulton Street and across from the Casino on Grove Avenue.

  • Who Are Your Vendors?

    A complete list of full and partial-season vendors is available at www.DowntownElgin.com/FarmersMarket. We also post a list of participating vendors each week on the Farmers Market Facebook page. For the latest information about vendor participation please follow us on Facebook.

  • How Can I Sign-Up To Be A Vendor?

    We are always looking for new vendors! Please apply here.

  • Do You Have Food Available?

    We will feature a variety of food options at the market. Please check our Facebook page for more information about weekly food vendors.

  • Where Can I Eat or Get a Drink?

    New for the 2019 season we now offer the option to “Sip & Shop”. Look for green signs for where to purchase an adult beverage to enjoy while you stroll the market.   • Is The Market Dog Friendly?

    Yes! Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome at the market!

  • What Type of Produce Will You Have?

    We will encourage our participating farm vendors to bring as much fresh produce as possible! Please keep in mind the seasonality of produce availability in our area will vary based on growing conditions and weather. Click here to see a guide to what’s in-season locally.

  • Do You Take Credit, Debit or EBT/Link?

    Yes! Most vendors are able to accept credit and debit. You can also purchase market tokens at the DNA Info Tent. We accept debit and credit for the purchase of tokens which can be used as cash with any vendor. In addition, those with EBT/Link Cards can also purchase tokens at the DNA Info Tent and will be matched up to $20 per market thanks to our partnership with BMO Harris Bank.

    EBT/Link Token Example
    If you purchase $10 in tokens with an EBT/Link Card, we will match your purchase for a total of $20 in tokens.
    If your purchase $20 in tokens with an EBT/Link Card, we will match your purchase for a total of $40 in tokens.
    If you purchase $30 in tokens with an EBT/Link Card, we will match your purchase up to $20 for a total of $50 in tokens.

  • Are There Activities for Kids or Entertainment?

    Every week will have a special theme with unique activities and entertainment. If you are an acoustic musician or performer interested in performing at the market please email info@downtownelgin.com. We’d love to hear from you as we begin planning our 2020 season.

  • What Happens If It Rains?

    The market is open rain or shine! In case of severe weather or lightening we may close. If the weather looks bad please check our Facebook page.

  • Are There Public Bathrooms Available?

    Yes! Port-o-Lets, courtesy of Waste Management, are available on the west side of Grove Avenue just north of Fulton Street.
