Delicious Coffee, Sustainably Sourced
Coffee perfection in Downtown Elgin!
Artisan Espresso, Cortado, Macchiato and Lattes (Horchata, Golden, Matcha or Chai) are always on the menu mingling with seasonal flavors like White Mocha, Gingersnap, Butterscotch or Toasted Marshmallow. The daily brews are sustainably sourced, roasted and delivered by Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters every week. Their coffee comes from the world’s best coffee farms. It is hand-picked for perfect ripeness and roasted to highlight the nuanced flavors unique to the farm where it was grown.
In July of 2018 Café Revive opened on the upper mezzanine level of the Dream Hall. Since then they’ve relocated to the main floor where sunlight shines in from the expanse of windows along S. Grove Avenue. Owner Jesus says, “Being on the main level has given us more exposure and has brought in a lot of new customers”.
Fresh Baked Goods and Gluten-Free Options
Fresh baked pastries.
Hard at work before the sun comes up, Patrice takes pride in baking their buttery biscuits, scones, muffins, conchas and cookies. They also offer gluten-free and dairy-free items sourced locally from Erika Hamlin of Dainty Delights Bakery. Patrice noted that the kitchen at the Dream Hall is not 100% gluten-free, therefore they choose to outsource those particular options. In doing so they are also supporting another local business while serving the needs of their customers.
Café Revive also offers exciting options for breakfast and lunch. Grab something quick like a Ham, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich. Or try the Breakfast Plate with two fried eggs, ham off the bone & potatoes. Another tasty option is the Omlette Revive with egg, spinach and goat cheese. Special add-ons like Smoked Salmon and Barbacoa are available upon request.
When it’s time for the mid-day break their lunch options include fresh salads, specialty sandwiches and homemade soup. The Beet & Goat Cheese Salad has become a favorite among locals! Sandwich and wraps include the Barbacoa Torta, Chicken Pesto and Grilled Cheese plus they also offer Chicken Tinga and Barbacoa Tacos.
Although they are the newest coffee shop in Downtown Elgin, Café Revive has already established a loyal following. Owner Jesus says he is excited for what the future holds and plans to continue expanding their food offerings for breakfast and lunch.
