NeighborWorks Day: Saturday, June 16

Please check back to this website for updates on NeighborWorks Day 2018, scheduled for the Gifford Park neighborhood on Saturday, June 16th from 9am to 3pm.

NeighborWorks Day is a time when volunteers, business people, neighbors, friends and local government leaders mobilize neighborhood change and awareness. This event unites fellow neighborhood organizations, residents, corporate volunteers and sponsors toward specific goals. NeighborWorks was previously hosted by the Neighborhood Housing Services of the Fox Valley, which was recently disbanded. Beginning this year, NeighborWorks Day will be hosted by the DNA. The projects and work completed through the efforts on NeighborWorks Day make a lasting physical impact and build community pride block-by-block while revitalizing neighborhoods. This year, NeighborWorks Day is scheduled for Saturday, June 16th. We will be focusing on the Gifford Park Neighborhood. This is a great opportunity to get involved to help identify some potential work projects, such as exterior painting, cleaning vacant lots and blocks, landscaping and gardening for homes located within your associations boundaries.
