Located just 45 minutes outside of Chicago, traveling to and from Downtown Elgin is easier than you think. Whether hopping on a Metra train to the city to beat the rush hour traffic or catching a bus to a local music venue, there are many options for traveling in and around Downtown Elgin.

Driving Directions

From the East
Take I-90 west to Illinois Route 25 south. Follow Route 25 to the split and continue on Dundee Avenue to Kimball Street. Take Kimball Street west to Douglas Ave and south to downtown.

From the West
Take I-90 east to Illinois Route 31. Follow Route 31 to Kimball Street. Take Kimball Street east to Douglas Ave and south to downtown.

From the North
Exit Route I-90 at Route 31 south.Take Illinois Route 31 south to Kimball Street. Turn east to Douglas Ave and south to downtown..

From the South
Take Lake Street/Route 20 to Illinois Route 31. Follow Illinois Route 31 north to National Street. Turn east to Grove Ave and turn north to downtown
