The holiday season starts in downtown Elgin with entertainment, special drawings, a visit from Santa Claus and the Ecker Center Festival of Trees at this free, fun, family-friendly event. There will be live musical performances, photos with Santa, non-profit expo and much more that creates a truly magical event!   Children can even make a holiday ornament for the City of Elgin’s holiday tree. And you won’t want to miss out on the craft fair that will take place on the second floor of the library – Get your holiday shopping done – a one-stop shop!   The event is sponsored by the Elgin Young Professionals Network and Gail Borden Public Library and welcomes many Elgin non-for-profits (including the Downtown Neighborhood Association) to participate in this festive event!
